I like your first island, even though it is fairly crowded. The way I rank up is to rank up my dragons, At night, before I go to bed, I get a pumpermelon in all of my treat farms so when I wake up, I easily have 5900 food. The most important, rank up the dragons. If the dragon gets a bunch of coins at lv. 10, it is worth it to rank it up. Otherwise, your island is fine.
